Electrochemist - Water Treatment and Mineral Processing

We are seeking an experienced Electrochemist to join our team at ManpowerGroup Talent Solutions in Cambridge, UK.
This role involves conducting research in water treatment and mineral processing, with a focus on developing new technologies and advanced materials.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, and relevant research experience in electrochemistry, desalination, hydro metallurgy, water treatment, nano filtration, reverse osmosis, brine processing, mineral extraction, ion separation, membrane separation, or similar fields.
Main Duties:- Develop new technologies and advanced materials for sustainable mineral extraction and water treatment.
- Design, perform, and analyse experiments related to electrochemical technologies such as electrolyzers, fuel cells, flow batteries, and electrodialysis.
- Conduct a comprehensive literature review on electrodialysis and electrical capture of lithium ions.
- Publish research findings in scientific journals, write patent applications, present results to stakeholders, attend conferences, and meet with customers and collaborators.
The salary for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
