About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Theatre Practitioner to join our Theatre department at North Downs Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our surgeons during orthopaedic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert scrub nursing care during orthopaedic procedures, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament repairs
  • Work effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless patient care and efficient theatre operations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient theatre environment

Requirements:

  • NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions
  • Proven experience in surgical scrub nursing, with a focus on orthopaedics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the department
