Medsolve is partnering with a leading organization dedicated to providing exceptional care for children and young people who require structure and support in their lives. Our client specializes in residential care for children aged 11 to 18 with additional needs and behavioral challenges.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Child Care Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent role offering a competitive hourly salary of £12.44.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized care and support to children/young people, contributing to their individual assessment plans and future goals.
  • Assist with daily living needs and promote independent living skills.
  • Actively participate in safeguarding measures to ensure the well-being of young people both within and outside the home environment. Report any concerns promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Flexibility to work various shift patterns, including days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues, families, significant individuals, and external agencies.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with young people, fostering a supportive environment that encourages their participation in opportunities offered by the home and organization.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through in-house training programs.
  • Awareness of diverse cultural, religious, and anti-oppressive practices.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • NVQ Level 2 preferred.
  • 6 months of UK experience working in a similar setting.
  • 5 years of professional references.
  • Driving license (preferred).
  • Excellent listening, patient, kind, caring, and empathetic qualities.
