Medsolve is partnering with a leading provider of residential care for children aged 11 to 18 with additional and behavioral needs. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Specialist to provide high-quality, person-centered support to children and young people who require structure in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to children/young people, contributing to individual assessments and implementing plans for their future.
- Support the child/young person in achieving daily living needs and promoting living skills.
- Participate in safeguarding efforts, reporting any concerns and ensuring the well-being of young people within and outside the home.
Requirements:
- A high level of flexibility to work shift patterns, including day shifts, evening shifts, and sleeping duties.
- Excellent communication skills, liaising with colleagues, relatives, and external agencies.
- Ability to form relationships with young people, supporting the care and assessment process and encouraging participation in opportunities offered by the home and organization.
- Good administrative skills and ability to participate in in-house staff development and training programs.
- Awareness of racial, cultural, and religious issues, as well as anti-oppressive practice.
- Right to work in the UK.
- NVQ Level 2 preferred.
- 6 months of UK experience working in a similar setting.
- 5 years of professional references.
- Driver (preferred).
- A good listener, patient, kind, caring, and empathetic individual.
