Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Florist Shop Manager to join our team at Kent Recruitment Bureau. As a Florist Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our busy flower shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our shop runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a team of florists to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Oversee the ordering and receipt of flowers and materials, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that the shop is always well-stocked
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and customer engagement
  • Monitor and control shop expenses, including inventory, supplies, and labor costs
  • Ensure that the shop is always clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment and tools are in good working order
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives to drive business growth and improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Florist Shop Manager or in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Knowledge of floral arrangements and wedding/event management
  • Ability to delegate tasks and instruct other staff members
  • Basic math skills for calculating prices and managing inventory
  • Resourceful and able to use initiative to solve problems
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach to customer service

Nice to Have:

  • Social media experience
  • Shop manager experience
  • Knowledge of plants and gardening
  • Management experience

Working Hours:

Five days a week, including alternate Saturdays, with opportunities to work on events and weddings. We can be flexible with hours initially.
