About the role

This position will report to the Assistant Director of Finance & Strategy and will be responsible for supporting the front-line services for the Place & Economy Directorate, which include Highways & Waste, Assets & Environment, Growth & Regeneration, and Regulatory Services. This work will involve providing financial guidance and support to various departments within the council.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include providing effective management and control across the Place & Economy Directorate for the annual revenue budget, the Medium-Term Financial Strategy, the capital programme, and the overall control environment with a focus on strong financial governance. The successful candidate will be able to put into practice a wide range of their finance skills and business acumen as the council shapes its finances to assist in the delivery of its corporate priorities.
