Consultant Histopathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join our team at Medacs Healthcare. As a Consultant Histopathologist, you will play a crucial role in providing diagnostic consultations and advisory services to clinical colleagues in the network and primary care.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide diagnostic consultations and advisory services to clinical colleagues in the network and primary care.
- Develop close collaborative links with clinicians working in your area of specialist expertise and work to develop services provided to patients in these areas to the highest standards.
- Support reporting of systemic cytology associated with your sub-specialty area(s) of interest.
- Interact with clinicians and allied health professionals to provide pathological support and leadership required for the delivery of excellent services.
- Participate in regular clinical meetings and other postgraduate activities.
- Supervise trainee pathologists working in the department and assist in their training and appraisal.
- Participate in clinical governance, risk management, and clinical audit, including audit of reporting discrepancies.
- Register with and participate satisfactorily in the Royal College of Pathologists Continuing Professional Development programme.
- Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
- Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT.
- FRCPath. or equivalent.
- MBBS/MB ChB or equivalent.
