Buyer's Support Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a talented Buying Admin Assistant to join our vibrant and fast-growing business at Mint Velvet. As a Buying Admin Assistant, you will provide strong administrative support to the Buying team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage buying samples across the department, ensuring they are always organised and ready for reviews, fit sessions and marketing requests.
- Prepare buying samples for meetings (internal & external) in line with our high presentation standards.
- Assist with fit sessions, recording comments and actioning any relevant follow-up communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across Design, Buying and Merchandising, Garment Technology, Digital and Marketing.
- Develop strong relationships externally with suppliers.
- Proactively maintain the critical path, demonstrating an extensive and detailed knowledge of every item within your product range.
- Utilise your strong product knowledge to ensure the right product is always available for in-house e-commerce shoots.
- Understanding department sales performance (Trade) and suggesting ideas to improve.
Requirements and Qualifications
- You will demonstrate an authentic creative passion and eye for product and emerging trends, proactive in seeking out your own inspiration.
- You have the ability to think both creatively and logically, processing information from a range of sources while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
- You have strong commercial awareness and a level of financial understanding & numeracy as well as affinity with product.
- You'll be a confident communicator, who takes a collaborative approach- focussing on building strong relationships.
- You will be resilient, adaptable and open to constructive feedback.
- You demonstrate a courage to back your decision, try new things and challenge where necessary.
- You are naturally curious in your approach and focus on solutions not problems.
