About the Role


We are seeking a fully qualified optometrist to join our team in Blyth. The ideal candidate will have experience in screening patients, coaching and training the wider team, and maintaining standards on the department. You will be passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the culture of the department.


Key Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be responsible for:



  • Screening patients and providing high-quality care
  • Coaching and training the wider team
  • Maintaining standards on the department
  • Developing new patient services and contributing to the development of the department's culture

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you must be:



  • A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
  • A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
  • MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months)
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
