About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Education Lead to join our team at Link3 Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our nursery team in Coventry and ensuring that we maintain the highest standards in early childhood education.


Key Responsibilities:



  2. Lead and Develop Nursery Staff: We are looking for someone who can lead and develop our nursery staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management, to maintain a positive and productive work culture.
  3. Safeguarding Lead: Our ideal candidate will act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring child safety, staff compliance with safeguarding procedures, and regular training to stay updated with legislation.
  4. Budget Planning and Financial Management: We require someone who can oversee budget planning, monitor financial performance, and work with the Director on profitability strategies and cost management.
  5. Curriculum Development: The successful candidate will ensure a high-quality curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework; conduct mock Ofsted inspections to ensure preparedness.
  6. Daily Operations: We need someone who can manage daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, safety protocols, and strategies to increase occupancy through marketing and outreach.
  7. Staff Development and Support: Our ideal candidate will support professional growth through training sessions, effective task delegation, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  8. Coverage Plans and Administration: We require someone who can develop coverage plans for staff absences to ensure smooth operations, including working in the room if needed, and handle nursery administration, maintain accurate records, and manage cleanliness standards.
  9. PARENTAL AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS: The successful candidate will build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and external agencies, maintaining regular communication and support.
  10. Nurturing Environment: We are looking for someone who can promote a nurturing, fun atmosphere by organizing engaging activities and events that align with the EYFS framework.

Requirements:



  • Proven Experience: We require proven experience as a Nursery Manager or similar role in early childhood education, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
  • Qualifications: Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent). A management qualification or degree in Early Years Education is advantageous.
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, child protection policies, and designated safeguarding lead experience.
  • Financial Management: Ability to manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and understand cost-saving strategies.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership, delegation, and performance management skills to inspire and support a cohesive staff.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills for managing daily operations, record-keeping, and multitasking.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and community stakeholders.
  • Passion for Education: Passion for delivering high standards in education, safety, and overall nursery operations.
