We are seeking an experienced Building Control Officer to join our team in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to manage their workload effectively, and have experience working in a local authority Building Control environment.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with a salary of £31,383 - £36,659 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week, providing administrative support to the Building Control team.

Job Description
  • Support the Building Control team: Provide administrative support to the team, including maintaining filing systems and processing applications.
  • Respond to formal enquiries: Respond to enquiries from the public, solicitors, and other stakeholders regarding property searches, building records, and associated matters.
  • Maintain manual and electronic filing systems: Ensure that all filing systems are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Process applications: Process applications for Full Plans, Building Notices, Demolitions & Regularisations within timeframes.
