Job Title: Principal Information Management Specialist - Systems Integration

KBR is seeking a Principal Information Management Specialist - Systems Integration to work in our Leatherhead offices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, management, and operation of interfaces between engineering applications such as SMARTPLANT and AVEVA suite (Engineering Data Warehouse and Digital Twin technology). This role ensures that data is correctly shared, complete, consistent, accurate, and includes the administration of data repositories where the project engineering and supplier data is stored and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and be the focal point for data management systems integration.
  • Facilitate the setup and configuration of the data repositories to meet the project requirements.
  • Understand corporate requirements for data collection, conditioning, reporting, and handover.
  • Working knowledge, understanding, and expertise in AVEVA and Hexagon toolset as follows:
    • Configuration of data entry tables (grids)
    • Data access controls
    • Data import, export, transform, and load
    • Prepare reports
    • Experience in tag management
    • Automation
    • Class library
    • Admin level support to define and configure Class Libraries
    • Configuring ISM with tag naming structures
    • Define and list of values, unit of measure, etc.
    • Manage transfer of Class Library data into Engineering Data Warehouse and Digital Twin environment
    • Understand complex regular expression
    • Setup and ensure compliance with Data Standards
    • Define and develop Project Data reports and statistics
    • Coordinates with project disciplines to resolve any data inconsistencies, errors, or mapping issues associated with interfaces

Requirements:

  • University degree qualification or equivalent oil and gas industry experience
  • A relevant number of years of experience in an engineering data system
  • Experience of using and managing Engineering Data Warehouses such as AVEVA Engineering, SMARTPLANT Foundation, Li or similar
  • Experience of using and managing engineering class libraries using AVEVA Information Standards Manager or similar
  • IT Skills – Excellent working knowledge of databases and reporting
  • A good technical background in Oracle 12c, PL/SQL, ETL, and data warehousing
  • Expertise with writing and optimizing Oracle/SQL stored procedures and query performance
  • Automation of processes using different scripting languages like PowerShell, CMD, etc.
  • Strong design and architecture skills
  • Designing and implementing new business logic/reports as SQL inside stored procedures within the existing system/reporting framework, as well as enhancing and maintaining existing functionality
  • Self-sufficient and be creative in defining reporting/data solutions
  • A strong background with the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of AVEVA Net, AIM, and Engage or similar
  • Knowledge of CFIHOS
