Job Description

The Principal Information Management Specialist is responsible for the setup, management, and operation of Engineering Data Warehouse, development of Class Library, and management of interfaces with other engineering applications such as SMARTPLANT and AVEVA suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and be the focal point for all data management activities.
  • Understand client and internal project requirements for data collection, conditioning, reporting, and handover.
  • Liaise with engineering and suppliers to ensure completion and compliance of data submission.
  • Ensure compliance with Data Standards.
  • Coordinate with discipline lead engineers in the implementation of applications to be used and data to be generated, collected, exchanged, and disseminated.
Requirements
  • University degree qualification or equivalent oil and gas industry experience.
  • A relevant number of years' experience in an engineering or designer or information management role.
  • An understanding of relational database applications to analyze, manipulate, and transfer data.
  • Experience of using Aveva Engineering/standards manager, Life Cycle Server, SMARTPLANT Foundation.
  • Knowledge of Aveva Net and Aveva Engage an advantage.
  • SSRS, OBIEE, Power BI reporting or similar required. PML, procedural SQL etc an advantage.
