Job Summary:

The Stewardship and Legacies Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring that philanthropic donors feel valued and informed of the impact of their giving. This includes donors who have indicated that they will be making a bequest to the College in their will.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive stewardship strategy to cultivate and retain major donors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, ensuring they feel valued and informed of the impact of their giving.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the College's senior leadership team to ensure that donor engagement and stewardship are integrated into the College's overall strategy.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, public-facing role, preferably in a development or fundraising context.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and a friendly, empathetic nature.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
