About the Role



The HGV Maintenance Controller will oversee the mechanical repair process for Flogas' vehicle assets, ensuring a balance between cost and time off the road. This role will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating repair costs, sourcing parts, and advising the fleet maintenance team on maintenance requirements.



Main Responsibilities




  • Monitor and report on daily vehicle breakdowns and repairs.
  • Manage the workflow through the tranman vehicle management system, reviewing and approving repair spend as needed.
  • Review and negotiate repair prices with workshops and manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with repair agents to ensure the best value for Flogas while maintaining timely delivery of critical assets.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the preventative maintenance regime to benefit Flogas Britain.


Requirements




  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of HGV build, maintenance, and operation.
  • Commercial and business acumen.
  • Confidence in managing suppliers and supplier relationships.
