Role Overview

Dawsongroup Environmental Municipal Civil is the leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire.

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team in Leicester/Milton Keynes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of municipal sweeper machines, refuse vehicles, and gully tankers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically gifted engineer or mechanic looking to further their skillset and career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fault diagnosis, repair, and routine maintenance of sweepers and other company equipment
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and meets retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines
  • Preparing accurate and timely written reports for routine maintenance or repair work
  • Evaluating, modifying, and preparing machines for hire at Dawsongroup Environmental Municipal Civil depots and customer locations
  • Providing technical advice to third-party engineers as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role working with engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrics, or braking systems
  • A full valid driving license

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. This salary is based on national averages and reflects the level of responsibility and expertise required for this role.
