Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a progressive primary school in Preston. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants to create a safe and welcoming learning environment for a child in KS2 with moderate learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-time support to help the child achieve their maximum potential and engage meaningfully in mainstream school life.
  • Work closely with the SENCo and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure cohesion between school and home.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
  • Experience working with children with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, 5 days per week.
  • Working hours: 8:45 – 3:20 (with 30 mins lunch).
  • Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 p/h, paid on a weekly basis.
