The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer Apprentice to join our team in Brisbane, supporting our Mining, Infrastructure & Project Delivery group.

About the Role

  • Carry out assigned 12d civil design work as part of an integral team, adhering to technical and commercial standards.
  • Perform drafting work (AutoCAD) as part of an integral team, adhering to technical and commercial standards.
  • Take a lead 12d/CAD role on select projects within a civil or multi-discipline environment.
  • Coordinate design and documentation with other engineering and drafting disciplines and with other team members.
  • Support other sectors of the business on project activities ranging from feasibility to detailed CAD design.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be committed to a team approach and outcomes.
  • Represent the company to a professional standard at all times and collaborate across the business on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Typically, 5-10 years of civil design modelling (12d) and drafting experience.
  • Experience of civil design and drafting of roads (for heavy and light vehicles), water management infrastructure (dams, levees & pipelines), hardstands and stockpile pads and other civil engineering infrastructure.
  • Practical experience with AutoCAD (essential), experience with 12d (essential).
  • Previous mining/industrial infrastructure experience not essential but highly regarded.
