Our dedicated team provides specialist care and support to children and young people with epilepsy across the Highlands. We strive to deliver high-quality patient care, while continuously improving our services through research, education, and innovation.

Role Overview:

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our team as a Specialist Children's Nursing Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our epilepsy service, developing nurse-led clinics, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways.

Requirements:

  • Vast experience in working with children and young people with epilepsy.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading clinical teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues, patients, and families.
  • Able to travel within the Highlands and access to a car is essential.
  • Degree-qualified in paediatric nursing or related field.

Working Arrangements:

  • Fixed-term or secondment contract until April 2026.
  • Based at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
  • 37-hour working week (reduced from 40 hours).
  • Temporary period may involve working up to 30 minutes extra per week, paid accordingly.
