Trainee Architectural Technologist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Architectural Technologist to join our team at Copperfield Recruitment Ltd. As a Trainee Architectural Technologist, you will assist with the technical design of assigned projects, working closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop proficiency in CAD principles and confidently produce drawings.
  • Utilize Autocad to create and edit plans and elevations.
  • Apply construction knowledge to produce working drawings, adhering to Building Regulations, NHBC, British Standards, and Codes of Practice.
  • Create basic building plans and elevations, as well as edit existing ones.
  • Prepare and develop drawings under the guidance of the Principal/Senior, including cycle store, garages, car ports, bathroom plans, and elevations.
  • Produce electrical layouts and fire strategy drawings from general arrangements.
  • Create PDFs from CAD drawings and upload files to document hosting websites.
  • Produce accurate information, drawings, and details for various project stages, from scheme design to construction drawings.
  • Accurately interpret project requirements with the Principal/Senior to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Conduct technical research on products, Building Regulations, and building materials.
  • Assist with administration tasks related to project production.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development to enhance construction skills and contribute to project information.
  • Work within project program and timescales allocated.
