Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nursing Specialist to join our Acute Care Unit team at Care New England Health System. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications. You will also assume the role of Charge Nurse for the shift, overseeing the coordination of patient care and ensuring that all unit responsibilities are met.

A key aspect of this role is participating in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of patients. You will also be responsible for coordinating psychiatric and/or medical emergencies, ensuring that individuals in crisis receive proper care and that all other patients are safe. Additionally, you will participate as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $98,500, based on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
