Job Description

We're seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Project Life Cycle Specialist. In this role, you'll work on exciting projects covering a broad range of clients from Nuclear New Build, Decommissioning, existing Nuclear Generation and Nuclear Fusion.

You'll take responsibility for the delivery of your work and will work closely with clients and stakeholders both remotely and from their premises. This is an opportunity for you to take the next step in your career, rapidly trusted with more responsibility.

Your focus will be on activities such as Tendering (production of bids/proposals and winning the job), Concept Design (identifying client requirements, optioneering solutions and estimating costs and delivery schedule), Detailed Design (developing, reviewing, HAZOP, HAZAN, FMEA and substantiating design to a point where you could supply and install equipment from design documentation).

You may work individually or as part of a team, but with AtkinsRéalis, you'll always be part of a team ready to support you and your work.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Tendering: Produce bids/proposals and win jobs.
  • Concept Design: Identify client requirements, optioneer solutions and estimate costs and delivery schedule.
  • Detailed Design: Develop, review, HAZOP, HAZAN, FMEA and substantiate design to a point where you could supply and install equipment from design documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant qualifications in electronic engineering, control engineering, safety-critical systems or equivalent.
  • Able to demonstrate good engineering judgement and a few years of experience in using fundamental engineering skills as a C&I Engineer.
  • Able to produce and review/correct technical reports and drawings to a high standard.
  • Able to efficiently manage your time.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
