About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a mixed 11-18 Secondary School in Havering. The successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional support to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assist students with their learning, including reading, writing, and numeracy skills
  • Help students to develop their social and emotional skills, including self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individual learning plans
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
