Job Title: Psychology Graduate Support Assistant

Empowering Learning is seeking a Psychology Graduate Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils with Anxiety, Depression, SEMH, and high-functioning Autism in a mainstream primary school.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and develop therapeutic relationships with them.
  • Understand therapy goals and aims, and promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in learning activities.
  • Engage and support pupils' learning, and work collaboratively with teachers to maximize their achievement.

Requirements:
  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to de-escalate and support emotional regulation.
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 12-39 weeks
