Finance Manager Opportunity

Pertemps Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in managing a portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including monthly journals for accruals and prepayments
  • Perform daily and monthly finance tasks for clients, including daily banking, posting, and reconciling purchases and sales ledgers
  • Reconcile external systems to SAGE
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
Requirements:
  • Part-qualified or QBE
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a UK-based accountancy practice
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of clients
  • Proficient in SAGE Line 50 and similar accounting systems
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and tight deadlines
About the Role:

This is a hybrid role, and we are happy to accommodate a combination of home and office working. The successful candidate will be a people person with good team working skills and the ability to proactively identify and creatively solve problems.
