Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team at Hunter AHP Resourcing on a locum basis.
About the Position:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to provide high-quality support to children and young people in care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent engagement and direct working skills, with a strong ability to work methodically and organize their time effectively to ensure improved outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- To deliver exceptional social work services to children and young people in care, ensuring their needs are met and their well-being is prioritized.
- To engage with children and young people, their families, and other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
- To develop and implement effective care plans that address the complex needs of children and young people, ensuring their safety and stability.
- To work collaboratively with other agencies to provide a cohesive service, leveraging expertise and resources to enhance outcomes.
- To contribute to the development of the team and the organization as a whole, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Current registration with the Social Work England (SWE) register, demonstrating commitment to professional standards and excellence.
- Proven experience working within a social work role, ideally with children and young people, showcasing a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care, driven by a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
- Car driver to travel across multiple sites, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness.
Working Arrangements:
- 35-hour week with a hybrid working model (3 days per week in Liverpool), balancing flexibility and face-to-face interaction.
- Initial 3-month minimum contract to create stability for our children and young people, allowing for a smooth transition and effective handover.
- A supportive team and manager, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
- Regular supervision, ensuring ongoing development and growth opportunities.
- ICT Kit and support, facilitating efficient and effective practice.
Salary:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of £36 - £42 per hour (Umbrella), estimated annual salary £76,800 - £88,160 based on a 35-hour week and 52 weeks per year, reflecting the value placed on expert social work services.
