Job Summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Pre-operative Assessment department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe preparation of patients for their upcoming operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality fundamental care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner, demonstrating a caring, compassionate, and sensitive approach.
  • Act in the best interests of patients at all times, protecting and maintaining their privacy and dignity.
  • Deliver individualized care to a diverse group of patients, respecting their personal beliefs and preferences.
  • Alert the Registered Practitioner and/or Ward/Department Manager to any changes or concerns relating to patient welfare in a timely manner.

Key Requirements

  • Successful completion of the Trust's Band 2 Developmental Passport or equivalent level of competence.
  • Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in an acute hospital environment or equivalent setting.
  • Reliable work/study record.
