Job Summary

Sanctuary Group, a leading provider of housing, care, and commercial services, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join its Development Finance team. This role will involve managing and working with a dynamic team to prepare management information, financial analysis, annual budgets, and various reporting to industry regulators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Development function in delivering its development programs
  • Review and appraise complex or strategic development opportunities
  • Assess financial and commercial risks of new investment proposals, applying sensitivity and scenario analysis, and identifying mitigating actions for risk
  • Monitor and report on status and progress of existing development projects
  • Prepare monthly management and project reports
  • Report and prepare information as required for the Executive Committee, Directors, and other key stakeholders to support decision-making and business planning
  • Manage, forecast, and budget process for Development projects
  • Support the Development Sales Team in providing timely and accurate information and reporting
  • Provide leadership to a small team and ensure processes are followed in line with regulatory, statutory, and business requirements
  • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and address any issues and shortfalls
  • Support the progress of New Build Development programs and processes in line with the Group's strategy to safeguard the organization's financial interests, ensuring accurate, useful, and timely reporting
  • Assist in reviewing, developing, implementing, and monitoring systems to ensure a robust control environment is maintained

Requirements

  • Experience within a similar role, ideally with a construction background (though not essential)
  • A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to make a difference assisting with the delivery of the ambitious development program
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritizing workloads
  • Experience of business partnering, working with both finance and sales teams
  • Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or similar professional qualification
  • Approachable with great communication skills at all levels
  • Proficient user in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or similar
