**Job Title:** EHC Plan Writer Expert

**Salary:** £150.00 per day PAYE

**Job Type:** Full-time, 35-37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, normal working hours

**Assignment Duration:** 6-7 months

We are seeking an experienced EHC Plan Writer Expert to join our team at Executive Connect LTD. The successful candidate will have significant experience of working within a SEND Team and writing robust, high-quality EHC plans.

The role involves collaboration and communication with various parties, including parents of children with special educational needs, SEND Casework Officers, health and social care professionals, Educational Psychologists, specialist teachers, Headteachers, and staff from schools and colleges.

A significant part of the role is drafting well-written and easily comprehensible EHC plans. This requires interpreting sensitive and complex information from professional assessments related to individual children’s special educational needs, health requirements, and social care needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Interpret and adhere to the principles and statutory processes described in the SEN Code of Practice.
  • Liaise with parents of children with special education needs, SEND Casework Officers, health and social care professionals, Educational Psychologists, specialist teachers, head teachers and staff from schools and colleges.
  • Draft well written, easy to read and jargon free EHC Plans.
  • Interpret sensitive and complex information from professional assessment relating to individual children with special educational needs, health needs and social care needs.
  • Ensure EHC Plans meet legal requirements and will satisfy external scrutiny.
  • Contribute to the development of best practice and procedures relating to education, health and care plan writing.
  • Fantastic communication skills to liaise with various different parties.
  • Strong IT and communication abilities are also crucial for liaising with various parties within the SEND system.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
