About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our Mental Health Employment Support Service team. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in providing employment support services to individuals with severe mental health issues, using the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide vocational assessments, action planning, and employer engagement to support individuals in gaining or retaining open employment.
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues and external agencies to identify employment opportunities and provide worksite assessments and in-work support.
  • Deliver specialized IPS clinical leadership, supervision, and management to a small IPS team across South Somerset and Mendip.
  • Monitor and coach individual and team performance to ensure high fidelity with the IPS model and positive outcomes for service users.
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent in social work, occupational therapy, psychiatric nursing, or psychology.
  • Professional registration to practice in the UK.
  • Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • IPS Training.
  • Experience working with people with severe and enduring mental health issues in a band 5 or 6 role.
  • IPS or other employment specialist experience.
  • Forensic mental health experience.
