We are seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer with OSI PI systems experience to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will involve supporting and managing our customer's portfolio of applications and systems to support a wide range of critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage a diverse portfolio of applications, including Real-Time asset information systems (primarily OSI PI) and Bazefield.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Analyse and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Previous extensive experience as an Applications Engineer.
  • Experience of supporting Energy sector or similar application portfolios, with a knowledge of SQL, Oracle and necessary database interfaces.
  • Experience working and liaising closely with vendors and has the ability to keep them on track.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Application interoperability, integration, data flows, functionality overlap.
  • Real-time data / PI knowledge/understanding.
  • Database knowledge.
  • Automation/scripting skills: csharp, Python (desirable).
  • Reporting.
  • Understanding on Allocations, system configuration and performance, Production / Lost-production figures.
  • Familiar with Agile & DevOps.
  • Fast learner and delivery-focused.
