Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Nuffield Health Barts Hospital. As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for leading by example and being an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care and ensure that our patients receive the highest standards of treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
  • Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
  • Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs
  • Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
  • Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training
  • Accountable for motivating and educating your peers within the multidisciplinary team
  • Be willing to work flexibly across different shift patterns covering a six-day service and participation in the departmental on-call rota if required

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner who has a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a theatre setting. You will have knowledge of mentoring and have strong clinical experience. You will be registered with the appropriate governing body and hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC or HCPC.
