Role Overview

Step Teachers is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team in a Secondary school in Hemel Hempstead.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to lead classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a supportive and productive learning environment for students. You will also have the chance to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, contributing to a collaborative school community.

You will apply your subject knowledge and expertise to support student learning and engagement across various subjects and age groups. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to connect with students and colleagues effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Lead classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a supportive and productive learning environment for students.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, contributing to a collaborative school community.
  • Apply subject knowledge and expertise to support student learning and engagement across various subjects and age groups.
  • Assist with classroom management and administrative tasks, honing organizational and leadership skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any field.
  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or related role is preferred but not required.
  • Openness to learning and adapting to new environments, with a passion for making a positive impact in education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and colleagues effectively.
