About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local primary school in Felixstowe. This is a permanent opportunity, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with ASD across Key Stages 1 & 2. Some students are non-verbal, so experience using communication aids like PECs and Makaton would be advantageous.

You will assist children with various curriculum learning activities and have dedicated time to focus on their developmental area using P Levels to track progression.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children who have additional needs, aged 5-11 years
  • A Level 3 qualification is beneficial but not essential
  • Flexibility and understanding to work with learners with a range of needs
