Legal Counsel - Competition & Sanctions

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a Legal Counsel - Competition & Sanctions. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide expert advice on competition law issues, including behavioral, transactional, and contentious matters.

About the Role
  • Provide legal advice on competition law issues, including behavioral, transactional, and contentious matters.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on trade and economic sanctions laws and regulations, including providing advice to ensure compliance with US, UK, EU, and Swiss regimes.
  • Assess and advise on potential regulatory issues and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor relevant legal trends and developments.
About You

We are looking for an outstanding communicator with a strong background in competition law and sanctions. You should have a minimum of 4+ years' post-qualification experience in a financial crime legal advisory role, with a specific focus on competition law and sanctions gained in a law firm and/or working as in-house counsel in a multi-national organisation.

Requirements:

  • University degree and qualified lawyer admitted to practice in England & Wales or another jurisdiction within EMEA.
  • Minimum of 4+ years' post-qualification experience in a financial crime legal advisory role with a specific focus on competition law and sanctions.
  • Prior experience of working with, and advising on, financial crime, sanctions, and competition compliance frameworks, policies, and processes.
