Investment Operations Assistant

The ideal candidate for this role at Margetts Fund Management Ltd will be a diligent and conscientious individual with a high attention to detail, possessing a logical approach and the ability to work to tight daily deadlines in a fast-paced office environment. Duties will include processing and authorising investor instructions to buy, sell and transfer shares in the Margetts funds, identifying potential issues through analysis of client/agent instructions and liaising with other departments where appropriate. Additional responsibilities will include maintenance of client and adviser details, placing and confirming investment trades and allocation of work through categorisation of scanned mail items into workflow systems. A more experienced candidate would have relevant experience within the financial services sector or with similar regulatory based roles, be able to identify and develop efficiencies and possess a desire to increase their knowledge and skills through mastering and understanding all team tasks and completing external courses. Following successful completion of a probationary period, the company offers a comprehensive package including discretionary bonuses, employee-matched pension contributions, death in service benefit and private healthcare.
