Job Description: Autism and Epilepsy Care Assistant Wanted
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced care assistant to join our team in supporting an individual with Autism, Epilepsy, and Diabetes. This is a full-time position requiring 15 hours of work per week, with a competitive hourly rate of £11.44.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in care assistance, particularly in supporting individuals with autism and managing epileptic episodes. You will be responsible for administering daily medical doses, including weekly injections upon completion of training. Additionally, you will assist with personal care, such as showering and shaving, and help the client choose appropriate clothing and dressing.
As a car driver, you will also be responsible for accompanying the client on scheduled appointments and outings. The role requires a genuine occupational requirement for the holder to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the client with daily living tasks, including medication administration and management
- Prepare meals and ensure there is a supply of food available
- Perform light domestic tasks, including laundry and changing beds
- Accompany the client on scheduled appointments and outings
- Provide personal care, including showering and shaving
- Help the client choose appropriate clothing and dressing
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with autism and managing epileptic episodes
- Administer daily medical doses, including weekly injections upon completion of training
- Car driver with a valid license
- Reliable and compassionate with excellent communication skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality at all times
