Job Title: 2nd Chef

Join our team at Sandstone Care Group as a 2nd Chef, where you will play a key role in providing exceptional culinary experiences for our residents.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 2nd Chef to support our Head Chef and catering team in delivering fresh, home-cooked meals from scratch to our residents. As a 2nd Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Delivering high-quality culinary standards to residents by providing nutritious, well-balanced, and appetizing meals in a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
  • Assisting with controlling the catering budget and maintaining a hygienic and compliant working environment.
  • Supporting with all day-to-day aspects of the catering operation, including food ordering and inventory management.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Requirements:

We are looking for a 2nd Chef with:

  • Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
  • A passion for producing fresh, home-cooked food from scratch to the highest standards.
  • A friendly and enthusiastic disposition, with the ability to integrate well with others.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Preferably NVQ level 2 in food hygiene.
