Project Engineer (3+ yrs. Mechanical Eng.)

Our client, a leader in the machinery manufacturing industry, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will support the design and development of custom and standard products, solving engineering challenges to meet customer needs. This is a hands-on position, ideal for a candidate with experience in project management and engineering related to complex manufacturing, machine design, rotating mechanisms, robotics, drive technology, and/or electromagnetic devices.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development process to optimize the design of innovative products
  • Consider value positioning and market competition in product development
  • Assess customer project feasibility and prepare proposals
  • Support of the entire product life cycle
  • Prepare project scope, requirements, and document needed modifications
  • Support with the creation of installation, operating, and dismounting instructions
  • Support both go-to-market and longer-term product strategies
  • Participate in the company's product portfolio management
  • Work cross-functionally to support product-market plans and annual budgets
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required
  • 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience is required
  • 3D CAD Design experience required
  • Prior engineering experience related to complex manufacturing, machine design, rotating mechanisms, robotics, drive technology, and/or electromagnetic devices is required
  • Ability to work 100% in the office is required
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (mostly domestic & possibly some international) is required
