We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at CSR Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in driving excellence across our UK factories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead the delivery of various capital projects across the UK, ensuring all complexities, costs, and timelines are effectively managed.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project charters outlining accountabilities, scope, costs, and timelines. Ensure all stages of projects, from development through to post-implementation review, are completed to high standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Deliver projects to the highest engineering and technical standards, driving world-class specifications and standards through project teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including operations, site engineering, technical, NPD, and health & safety, to ensure flawless project execution.
  • Safety & Compliance: Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety, maintaining compliance with all safety regulations, and identifying opportunities to improve safety and reduce risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor project progress against KPIs, manage changes effectively, and seek continuous improvement opportunities throughout project lifecycles.
  • Training & Development: Provide training to colleagues as required, sharing knowledge and expertise to build a stronger team.
  • Communication: Maintain clear, two-way communication with stakeholders and team members, ensuring alignment and awareness of project status and issues.
Requirements
  • Experience: Extensive experience in manufacturing or engineering, with a strong track record in project management and delivery.
  • Qualifications: Engineering qualification NVQ Level 2 or above (or equivalent).
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and an engineering mindset. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.
  • Attributes: A strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term and long-term goals. A natural networker who can engage, motivate, and influence diverse stakeholders. Commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
