Senior Pig Stockperson

Cranswick Country Foods PLC is a leading food producer, and White Rose Farms Ltd is a key part of our pig breeding operation. Based predominantly in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, we breed and rear pigs to Red Tractor standards. An opportunity has arisen at our farm in Northallerton, where we have a fast-paced and growing business with a bright future.

Main Duties:

• Working with an indoor, 5-place nursery and a 7-place finishing unit alongside a 1-breed sow unit.
• Assisting with breeding unit as required.
• Daily duties include feeding, vaccinating, moving, and handling.
• Loading and unloading pigs as required.
• Completing and maintaining pig data and records in a timely manner.
• Maintaining the condition and appearance of the farm to high standards.
• Operating farm machinery/equipment.

You will need:

• Experience running a large nursery finishing unit is preferred.
• Wet feed system experience is preferred.
• A keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare is advantageous.
• Farrowing house experience is desirable.
• Ability to prioritise and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail is a must.
• You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations.
