Pig Stockperson

At Cranswick Country Foods PLC, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pig Stockperson to join our team at our state-of-the-art pig breeding, high health unit in Lincolnshire. As a Pig Stockperson, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and wellbeing standards of our pigs are met and exceeded. Key duties include feeding, vaccinating, moving, and handling pigs, as well as loading and unloading pigs as required.

Main Responsibilities:

• Working with pigs on an indoor unit to ensure their health and wellbeing standards are met and exceeded
• Daily duties include feeding, vaccinating, moving, and handling pigs
• Loading and unloading pigs as required
• Working to high standards of animal welfare
• Maintaining the condition and appearance of the farm
• Operating farm machinery

Requirements:

• Experience with livestock or an agricultural background would be advantageous, but not essential
• Ability to prioritise and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail is a must
• You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations

Due to the rural location, your own transport is necessary.
