Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and motivated Graduate Façade Engineer to join our Perth team in 2024 As a Graduate Façade Engineer, you will be learning and collaborating with the best in the business, building on your specialised technical knowledge while working on the design of some of the most exciting projects nationally.

  • Undertake the design, engineering, and documentation for façade and build-ability consultancy, inclusive of detailed engineering calculations, analysis, drawings, and specifications.
  • Review contractor submissions, show drawings, and calculations.
  • Façade engineering design and buildability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the design/project team and other disciplines within Inhabit Group as required.
  • Build relationships with clients on projects and develop contacts within the façade industry.
Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Façade Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and engineering façades for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian standards and building codes.
  • Collaborating with the design/project team to develop and implement façade design solutions.
  • Reviewing and analysing contractor submissions, show drawings, and calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in façade design and engineering.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recent graduate degree in Engineering (Civil/Structures) or Architectural Engineering, with full-work rights for Australia.
  • A passion for learning, collaboration, and the real-world application of creative solutions.
  • An appreciation and strong interest in structural engineering and façade design.
  • Self-motivation and a desire to have an impact in the technical delivery of iconic projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian standards and building codes.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Package.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and an interest in understanding how things work.
  • Strong organisation and coordination skills to effectively work across multiple projects in a timely manner.
