Medical Records Analyst

We are looking for a highly skilled Medical Records Analyst to join our Clinical Coding team at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to demonstrate competence in the use of ICD10 and OPCS4 classifications.
They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure, with a focus on delivering high-quality coding services.
The department offers comprehensive training for all staff, helping to develop existing skills and learn new ones.
Responsibilities- To work collaboratively with clinicians, healthcare workers and other relevant personnel to ensure coding accuracy and integrity are maintained at the highest level.
- To mentor and support junior staff members.
- To promote awareness of the Clinical Coding role and its uses within the trust.
Education and Qualifications
- Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC).
- Good general education (Degree level or equivalent).
- Certificate in Medical Terminology.
- Clinical Coding Standards Course.
