Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional academic to join our team as a Teaching Fellow in the College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and marking at a postgraduate level in the field of Surgical Sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic guidance and support to external contributors, including clinical tutors and markers.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of course materials and online study resources.
- Support the successful running of the Surgical Sciences PgCert, PgDip, and MSc programmes.
Requirements:
- A master's degree or bachelor's degree with significant teaching experience in a clinical, biomedical, or health-related field.
- Experience and achievement in teaching within higher education, reflected in a growing personal teaching portfolio.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in a range of contexts.
- Ability to plan and initiate activities and projects, and develop self and others.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to academic excellence.
About the Role:
This is a fixed-term position for 3 years, full-time (1 FTE). The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and research.
