Job Title: Personal Assistant/Support Worker

Hours: 6 hours per week (to cover holidays and absence)

Area: Newcastle upon Tyne

Rates of Pay: £12.60 per hour

We are seeking a friendly and sociable Support Worker/Personal Assistant to join our team at Disability North. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our client to get out and about, have fun, socialise, and take part in various activities that they choose.

Purpose of Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our client with daily living tasks, such as feeding and holding their drink, as well as accompanying them to social events, such as going out for a drink or a meal. You will also be required to push our client's manual wheelchair when going out in the car.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who is friendly, prepared to learn, and has good English and listening skills. You will need to be comfortable with our client's social habits, including going to the theatre and the casino. You will also need to be able to book tickets and make reservations for our client when required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to have permission to work in the U.K. and will be subject to DBS checks and references. You will also need to be able to commit to a regular schedule of 6 hours per week.
