Job Title: Personal Assistant - Support Worker
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Hours of Work:
5 hours - Term Time
10 hours - School Holidays
Hours will mainly take place on evenings and weekends.
Rate of Pay: £12.35 per hour.
A support worker is required for a young adult with a diagnosis of Autism and anxiety.
He would like to have a meaningful and rewarding social life and to be able to participate in activities he enjoys.
He is an active young man who enjoys exercise and would like to appoint a support worker who also enjoys being active and doing physical/sporting activities such as climbing, bowling, exercise, indoor golf, and bowling.
Other firm favourites include watching and playing football, listening to music, video games, and trips to the cinema, eating out, and Costa Coffee.
A support worker with their own vehicle, license, and appropriate insurance would be desirable to ensure maximum enjoyment during working hours.
His parents would like an honest, trustworthy, and reliable support worker.
Time will be spent learning from family members about how best to support the individual.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support and assistance to the individual in their daily life
• Accompany the individual to activities and events
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Encourage the individual to participate in physical and sporting activities
• Support the individual in developing their social skills
Requirements:
• Experience working with individuals with Autism and anxiety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Ability to learn and adapt to the individual's needs
