Job Title: Deputy Manager - Residential Children's Worker

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of our residential children's services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in implementing the Statement of Purpose and ensuring the smooth running of the children's home.
  • Support and manage staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people.
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate.
  • Manage child protection concerns and complaints.
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.

Requirements:

  • NVQ 3 in caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
  • Understanding of Ofsted framework (SCCIF).
  • 12 months experience working in a residential setting with young people with challenging behaviour, including supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Team Building Skills.
  • Supervision Skills.
  • Ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and enthuse staff.
