We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Cluster Trust in the London Borough of Bexley. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of children in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning for children as a whole class, small groups, or individual basis
  • Provide day-to-day support to Teachers in teaching and learning
  • Prepare learning resources in liaison with Teachers
  • Assist in the creation of effective displays
  • Work effectively alongside other teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment is maintained
  • Adhere to the Schools policies, including Safeguarding, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, and Health and Safety

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant
  • A commitment to working with children and adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Ability to adapt and respond to children's needs and plan accordingly
  • Be able to creatively contribute to the development of students
  • Register the attendance of and supervise learners before, during, or after school sessions as appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with others to develop effective professional relationships
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Candidates should have a high standard of spoken and written English and mathematics
  • Be good and effective communicators with children and adults
  • Be friendly, approachable, flexible, and adaptable
  • Be able to work on your own initiative with good time management skills

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one, which Randstad can support
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK, together with a few other documents
  • 2 recent professional references
