Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in a primary school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting teaching and learning for children as a whole class, small groups or individual basis
  • Providing day-to-day support to Teachers in teaching and learning
  • Preparing of learning resources in liaison with Teachers
  • Assisting in the creation of effective displays
  • Working effectively alongside other teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment is maintained
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant
  • A commitment to working with children and adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Ability to adapt and respond to children's needs and plan accordingly
  • Be able to creatively contribute to the development of the students
  • Register the attendance of and supervise learners before, during, or after school sessions as appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with others to develop effective professional relationships
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Candidates should have a high standard of spoken and written English and mathematics
  • Be good and effective communicators with children and adults
  • Be friendly, approachable, flexible and adaptable
  • Be able to work on your own initiative with good time management skills
